Angèle Returns with ‘Dis-le’: A Club-Infused Anthem of Self-Expression

Belgian pop sensation Angèle has released her new single “Dis-le,” a high-energy, club-infused track that the singer describes as an invitation to express the thoughts we normally keep hidden. The song dropped on streaming platforms at midnight on Friday, June 19, followed by an official music video at noon the same day.

“‘Dis-Le’ is an invitation to give voice to our inner thoughts, to express what we normally keep to ourselves,” Angèle said in a press release quoted by VRT NWS. “The song encourages us to break the silence, to liberate ourselves and to boldly assert our individual identity.”

A New Musical Direction

“Dis-le” follows “What You Want” (released in February 2026), a collaboration with French electro duo Justice that marked Angèle’s first solo single since autumn 2022. Together, the two tracks signal a decisive shift away from the pop-chanson style of her earlier work toward a harder, club-oriented sound.

According to RTBF, the track draws on electro-clash influences reminiscent of artists like Boyz Noise and Mr Oizo, layered with a Jersey Club-inspired beat. The song was produced with Angèle’s long-time collaborator Tristan Salvati and is entirely in French.

La DH describes the track as “supercharged pop,” noting that while the verses feel familiar to Angèle’s signature style, the choruses are “frenetic,” with the title repeated like a mantra. The publication also highlights the return of the piano, a beloved element in Angèle’s music, offering a lighter rhythmic feel compared to the more driving “What You Want.”

A Visual Rave in the Forest

The music video, directed by the acclaimed Parisian collective (LA) HORDE in collaboration with the duo Suzie & Léo, depicts a rave party set in a forest. As RTBF reports, the video explores themes of freedom, collective energy, and queer culture, blending 90s-inspired realism with a fairy-tale forest aesthetic.

“The rave imposed itself as a natural setting: a space apart, where boundaries fade, where identities meet and where the collective takes its full place,” Angèle explained, as quoted by La DH. “The clip follows different characters carried by the same energy, between escape, self-discovery and desire for emancipation.”

Suzie & Léo added: “This clip was born from the desire to explore a contrast that already seemed present in the song: that between what is said and what remains withheld.”

Building Toward a Third Album

“Dis-le” is widely expected to be the second preview of Angèle’s long-awaited third studio album, anticipated later in 2026. No title or release date has been announced yet. Her last full-length album, “Nonante-cinq,” was released in December 2021.

Angèle has cited Charli XCX’s album “Brat” and its unfiltered, club-influenced punk energy as an inspiration for her new creative direction, according to Newsmonkey. The two singles released in 2026 suggest a cohesive club-influenced concept album, with (LA) HORDE providing a strong visual identity for this new era.

Chart Momentum

Angèle’s previous single “What You Want” has been topping the Ultratop singles chart in Belgium’s French-speaking region since the beginning of May 2026, as reported by VRT NWS. The success of that track, combined with her standout performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics closing ceremony, has significantly boosted her international profile.

What’s Next

With “Dis-le” now available on all streaming platforms and its music video generating buzz across social media, fans are eagerly awaiting news of Angèle’s third album. The singer has not yet announced a tour or additional collaborations, but the strong visual and sonic identity of her 2026 releases suggests a major campaign is underway.

As Angèle herself puts it, the message is simple: break the silence, liberate yourself, and boldly assert who you are.
