Stromae to Feature on Madonna’s New Album: ‘Amazing Voice’

Belgian musical icon Stromae is set to appear on Madonna’s upcoming 15th studio album, Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II (also referred to as Confessions II), scheduled for release on July 3, 2026. The collaboration was confirmed by Madonna herself in an interview with Interview Magazine, where she praised the Belgian artist’s vocal abilities.

“Yeah, that’s Stromae singing on it,” Madonna told editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg. “He has such a great voice.”

A Decade in the Making

The collaboration marks the culmination of a relationship that began over a decade ago. Madonna and Stromae first met in New York in 2014 for a casual drink and conversation. In 2015, Madonna told Europe 1: “I love Stromae and I would very much like to work with him. I’m not sure we’ll manage to do a duet together.” Now, more than ten years later, that wish has finally materialized.

According to Het Laatste Nieuws, the track in question is titled “My Sins Are My Savior,” which Ottenberg described as “sexy, deep, ’90s fantasy.” Madonna explained that the song addresses “narrow-minded people who are ignorant, who judge first before investigating. Society, basically. The ones that condemn me.”

The Album: Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II

The album represents a return to Madonna’s dance music roots. Produced with Stuart Price — who also produced the original Confessions on a Dance Floor (2005) — the project was born out of creative frustration after Madonna’s planned biopic with Universal Studios fell through due to budget disputes.

“I reached out to Stuart because I thought the world is in a very dark place and people need to dance,” Madonna said. The album also features contributions from Madonna’s daughter Lola, with whom she co-wrote a song to heal their relationship, and other guests including Sabrina Carpenter.

As RTBF reported, the collaboration came as a surprise to many, though Madonna had long recognized Stromae’s talent.

Stromae’s Career at New Heights

The Madonna collaboration comes at a peak moment for the 41-year-old Brussels-born artist. Just days before the announcement, on June 18, 2026, Stromae was named the most-streamed Francophone artist in non-Francophone countries on Spotify, according to the Spotify Francophonie 2026 Report. His duet with Pomme, “Ma Meilleure ennemie” (from the Arcane soundtrack), was the most-streamed French-language song globally in 2025 outside Francophone markets.

Stromae has been on a remarkable collaborative streak. In June 2026, he released “Des fleurs” with Swedish singer Tove Lo, contributing a French-language verse and serving as co-producer. In 2025, he released “Pardon” with Nigerian Afrobeat star Burna Boy and “Que ce soit clair” with German electronic musician Paul Kalkbrenner.

Paris Match Belgium noted that the collaboration with Madonna represents his highest-profile partnership to date, placing a Belgian artist alongside one of the most iconic figures in pop history.

Broader Significance

This collaboration occurs against a backdrop of growing global interest in Francophone music. Spotify’s Francophonie 2026 Report showed a 134% increase in French-language music streams over five years, with Stromae leading the charge. The Madonna feature could further boost the international profile of French-language pop music.

For Belgium, the collaboration is a source of national pride. L’Avenir described it as “good news” for the Belgian singer, who continues to add prestigious collaborations to his already impressive resume.

What’s Next

Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II is set for release on July 3, 2026. While it remains unclear whether Stromae appears on additional tracks beyond “My Sins Are My Savior,” the collaboration has generated significant excitement among fans of both artists. Questions remain about whether a music video will accompany the track and whether the two artists will perform it live together.

What is certain is that a decade after their first meeting, the Stromae-Madonna collaboration has finally arrived — and it promises to be one of the most talked-about musical moments of 2026.
