Ms. Rachel Announces Debut Album ‘I’m So Happy’
Parents of toddlers everywhere, prepare yourselves. Ms. Rachel, the YouTube sensation and music teacher beloved by millions of families, has announced her debut album with her husband, Aron Accurso (known to viewers as Mr. Aron). The 23-track collection, titled “I’m So Happy,” is scheduled for release on September 25, with global distribution via Magic Star, the dedicated family and children’s division of Sony Music Entertainment’s The Orchard, according to AP News.
A Musical Milestone
The album transforms songs first introduced on Ms. Rachel’s YouTube show into fully realized studio recordings, expanded with lush orchestration and new arrangements while preserving the educational principles at the heart of the series. Recorded and mixed in New York City and Nashville, the project brought together 19 vocalists and 42 instrumentalists, as The Music Universe reported.
“Music is such a wonderful way for people to bond, for parents to bond. I know from the minute my kids were born, we’re singing to them,” Ms. Rachel, whose real name is Rachel Griffin Accurso, told AP News.
Aron Accurso, a Broadway music director and composer, served as the album’s principal arranger, leading a team of musical collaborators that included Michael Kosarin, Michael Starobin, Martin Erskine, and Chris Jahnke. The project was executive produced by Aron and Rachel Accurso, and produced by Aron alongside Grammy Award winner Scott Riesett, with Rich Mercurio serving as a producer on select tracks.
“Music is at the heart of our show,” Aron Accurso said. “And so, we’ve always wanted to release the music and have families experience the music away from the screen.”
Songs for Every Family
The album features fan-favorite originals like “I’m So Happy” and “Big Feelings,” alongside richly reimagined versions of classics such as “Hop Little Bunnies,” “Icky Sticky Bubble Gum,” and “Old MacDonald.” The songs aren’t limited by genre—the lead single “I Love a Rainbow” is a playful bossa nova number celebrating colors, while their take on “Old MacDonald” leans bluegrass.
“I am a music educator, so I get excited about kids hearing a real clarinet on ‘Icky Sticky Bubble Gum’ and kids getting excited about hearing more real instruments,” Ms. Rachel said.
But the album offers more than musical education. A song like “I Could Be Your Friend” gives children a script for building social skills, reflecting the inclusive approach that has made Ms. Rachel a trusted name in early childhood media. “We’re always thinking about all kinds of kids, whether they have disabilities, whether they’re autistic,” she said. “We just want the world to feel like it’s helpful to all children and the musical worlds as well.”
The lead single “I Love a Rainbow” is available for streaming now, with pre-orders and pre-saves open ahead of the September 25 release, as SE7EN reported.
From YouTube to Global Phenomenon
Ms. Rachel launched her YouTube channel in 2019 with her husband, initially as “Songs for Littles,” in response to the lack of media resources for their son, who had a speech delay and did not say his first word until age two. The channel, inspired by techniques from their son’s early childhood intervention speech therapist, became especially popular during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to NBC Connecticut. As of 2026, it has grown to more than 20 million subscribers and nearly 17 billion views.
The brand has since expanded to include bestselling books, toys, and a hit Netflix collection. The album marks the duo’s first foray into recorded music, continuing their mission to help children learn, communicate, and thrive through the power of music and play.
“We’re so excited for families to have dance parties in their living rooms, sing the songs in the car, and create joyful memories together as they listen,” Rachel and Aron Accurso said in a joint statement. “Some of our favorite childhood memories are of listening to beloved albums with our families, and we hope I’m So Happy becomes part of those memories for children and parents today.”
Advocacy Alongside Artistry
Ms. Rachel has also made headlines in recent years for her advocacy work on behalf of children in humanitarian crises, including those in Gaza and children detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Most recently, she shared comments about the mysterious death of 18-year-old Nolan Wells in Mississippi.
“I view myself as an advocate for children’s rights so anytime they’re being violated by anyone anywhere, I want to be speaking out,” she said. “I want families to be happy and safe and healthy, and I think that’s a wonderful thing. So, if it’s brought up with the album, that’s great.”
