Adam Driver to Play Mister Sinister in Marvel’s X-Men Reboot

In a playful moment at D23, Driver teased the crowd before revealing his actual role. “Kevin and I had been talking for years about my joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and I think we finally found the perfect film,” Driver told the audience via video. “So I’m very excited to be playing the role of Maaagneto!” — before pausing and correcting himself: “even better, Nathaniel Millbury,” an alias for Mister Sinister.
Navarrette, who became one of Hollywood’s most sought-after actors following her striking performance in the indie horror hit “Obsession” earlier this year, had also been heavily rumored for a role in the film. The casting was confirmed by Variety, which noted that earlier speculation about Cailee Spaeny playing Rogue had been thoroughly debunked.

The X-Men joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe became possible with Disney’s $71.3 billion acquisition of 21st Century Fox’s film and television assets in 2019.
