“Unfortunately, we see that new problems are now emerging,” said Thomas Baeken, spokesperson for Infrabel, as reported by VRT NWS. The signaling installation was still not functioning properly, and train services were once again halted.

Passengers who were already aboard trains when the second suspension occurred were allowed to complete their journeys. For all other scheduled trips, the replacement bus system has been reactivated, according to Baeken.
