RAYE to Headline Werchter Boutique 2027

British pop star RAYE will headline Werchter Boutique 2027, organizers announced Monday, adding a major international name to the one-day Belgian festival’s lineup. The announcement makes RAYE the first act confirmed for the event, which takes place on Saturday 26 June 2027 at the Festivalpark in Werchter. Tickets go on sale Friday 2 October 2026 at 10:00 via Ticketmaster, following a Live Nation presale on Thursday 1 October.

According to VRT NWS, the booking marks RAYE’s third appearance on the Werchter festival grounds and her first at the Boutique day festival itself. She previously played the larger Rock Werchter in 2025.

An ‘absolute global superstar’

The festival’s official press release framed the announcement with characteristically playful wording: “This announcement may contain joy: RAYE is returning to Belgium!” The organizers praised the singer as “powerful, honest, moving and irresistibly charismatic,” describing her as “an absolute global superstar.”

Organizers also characterized her as “one of the most idiosyncratic, open-hearted and versatile voices in contemporary pop,” VRT NWS reported. The punning headline on the VRT article — “‘Where’s my husband?’” — nods to RAYE’s recent hit song of the same name.

Tickets and pricing

General admission tickets are priced at €136, with Golden Circle tickets at €189, according to Festileaks. The official announcement page does not list prices, and figures may differ by market.

From label setbacks to Grammy acclaim

RAYE’s career is a comeback story familiar to Belgian audiences. Born Rachel Agatha Keen in south London, she signed to Polydor Records at 17 but spent years writing for other artists — Beyoncé and Rihanna among them — while releasing dance features with the likes of David Guetta and Charli XCX. Her music straddles jazz, soul, R&B and pop.

As VRT NWS noted in a background portrait, her contract with Polydor was dissolved by mutual agreement in 2021. She broke through independently with “Escapism.” (2022) and her debut album “My 21st century blues” (2023), then won a record six BRIT Awards in a single night in 2024 — equalling the career totals of David Bowie and Oasis — followed by Grammy Awards for Best New Artist and Songwriter of the Year in 2025.

The singer is frequently compared to the late Amy Winehouse. Her autobiographical song “Ice cream man.” addresses sexual assault she experienced from a music producer, and earned her the Harry Belafonte Award for social change. Earlier in 2026 she performed a sold-out AFAS Dome concert in Amsterdam, and her second album, “This music may contain hope,” was released on 27 March 2026.

A festival looking to rebound

Werchter Boutique is the one-day pop sister event to the four-day Rock Werchter, which runs 1–4 July 2027. The 2026 edition ended in disappointment when the closing show by Katy Perry was cancelled due to approaching severe weather, as Festileaks reported. Other 2026 acts included Pitbull, Pommelien Thijs and Mika. Organizers will be hoping the 2027 edition can proceed “in full glory.”

RAYE’s booking also points to a broader 2027 European festival run. She is already confirmed for Poland’s Open’er Festival, announced in September 2026, suggesting the Belgian date is part of a wider touring cycle.

What’s next

Attention now turns to the ticket sale. With RAYE’s strong Benelux demand — demonstrated by the sold-out Amsterdam show — the presale and general sale are likely to be watched closely. The remaining Werchter Boutique lineup has yet to be announced, and further acts are expected in the coming months. Rock Werchter 2027, meanwhile, has already named Tame Impala as its first headliner.
